Thank God that this year is over, I simply cannot think of anything that could be worse in 2017. Well, of course, apart from WWIII, that would be much worse. What on Earth happened? Oh yes. Donald Trump became president, ISIS are still here, North Korea tested a nuclear warhead. David Cameron decided that the UK should leave the EU (Thank you for that by the way). People are still going on about Harambe's death which happened 7 months ago (Get over it). Mass riots in prisons due to under-funding. Wait, hang on...You can spend half a billion dollars on wars, yet you can't fund prisons...hmm. The Russian ambassador to Turkey was assassinated in plain sight, but hey, it's not like an assassin's bullet has triggered a world war or anything (cough, cough). Everyone still believes everything that they read in the papers. Don't you remember what happened (Or more accurately, didn't happen) in July? "Pope Francis has endorsed Hillary Clinton for President". Yeah, right. Someone decided to leak the Panama Papers, spreading 11.5 million documents about attorney and client information (Do you have anything better to do with your life?). People like teachers get paid less than £30,000. Night watchmen who have to work from dusk to the morning and get paid £25,000. Footballers, on the other hand, are paid to kick a damn ball around for 90 minutes and get paid £30,000 a week. That's madness. Okay, that's it, I'm done.
Aren't I glad that I was born in this era?
Let us just hope that 2017 will be better. At least a little bit.

Perfect
I've realised that I have still yet to add another 10,000 words to "The Robed Sorcerer IIS - The Plan". How on Earth am I going to do that? Well, at least I love my job, that's one thing to count on.

Scrap
I had to scrap some of my drafts because I was thinking, maybe I should just focus on one novel at a time instead of four. That would keep me on track. So, for my next novel, I am going to be writing, "Murder And Liquor". Fun, right? And by the way, who likes the 60's?

Alas...
Alas, "Inquisitor" is going to have to be a novella at just 33,418 words. It was just taking up too much time. Still, at least it qualifies as a novella, that is one good thing at least. I'll probably publish it on Wattpad by the end of today. If not, tomorrow definitely. Be prepared for a journey through the dark.

7 months, 1 week and 2 days
That's how long it took me to complete the first full draft of "Inquisitor". Nightmare. Well, at least I will be able to add more to it. But still another 20,236 words to go and it will officially be a novel. I need to change my deadline dates if I'm going to finish all of these novels. But, how on Earth am I going to fit another 20,000 words into this novel? I need to watch more noir films, get some more inspiration. Well it looks like I am going to have to "dig deep".
That's a little clue for you right there.

Oh, whoopie...
Fantastic. I lost the Wattys 2016. Now, just looking through the winners, I have no words for them. Literally. Not even a congratulations. For one of the awards, "Trailblazers", it needs to be a story that is completely different to anything anyone has ever read, it needs to be a fresh idea. Just looking through them, I found some of these gems (sarcasm intended). "The Online Profile Of A Serial Killer". Facebook? Really. Come now. "Death By Disney". Don't you think that is a bit dark? Then I found another award "HQ Love", the stories that Wattpad HQ love and adore. "The Term Sheet". That does not make any sense. "Harry On The Prairie". Harry Styles. Come now, be original. "The Scavenger Hunt". I am about to lose my mind. And here's the real kicker, "Hidden Gems", the stories that are the "diamonds in the rough" as they say. "Delivery". Harry Styles. "Spider's Game". The front cover looks an awful lot like The Hunger Games. How original. "When You Fall". The front cover shows a man in trunks diving into water. What is that supposed to tell me? That someone is going to go to the beach and fall over? (That would be hilarious).
How on Earth did "Losing Sleep" lose to all of those. Right now, I am going to go away, have a cup of green tea (No milk and no sugar of course, because that's me), and think about what the hell I just looked through. Before I leave you, I have said this once and I will say it once more:
It's time to wake up everyone!

Non-Fiction
It has been two weeks and I still have not recieved a reply from Pegasus Publishers about my novel. It is probably going to take a while. But, on the other hand, I have started to write my very first non-fiction book. "Monster Hunting For Beginners And Experts". Something different for all of you. Have a read and tell me what you think, I would be much appreciated.

Happy Days
I have just sent the synopsis and the first three chapters of "Losing Sleep" to a company that I found whilst browsing Facebook. "Pegasus Publishers". If it makes it through, "Losing Sleep" will become published and will be on the shelves for you all to buy.
Fingers crossed.

H-How?
I'm sorry, I just had to put this on my blog. I was scrolling through horror stories on Wattpad, and I found a story called "Beware The Haunted House". So I decided to read through it. Cliche, after cliche, after cliche. And guess what? 34,500 reads. How? Tell me. How is a story about a haunted house, better than a soldier going through hell and battling with his demons? That is just absurd.
It's time to wake up everyone!

Traffic III - The Blood-Streaked Road
It only took a month and 23 days, but part 3 has been complete. Now just another 37 episodes to go. Happy days.

The Robed Sorcerer II - Ancient Artefacts Complete
That took less days than I expected. The second part of the trilogy is complete and uploaded onto Wattpad for you to read. Just part two and a half and part three to go. Wish me luck.

"The Robed Sorcerer II - Ancient Artefacts" update
At the time of writing this, the second part of the trilogy has now 20,070 words. Just give me a few more weeks and you will have part two. I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

"Losing Sleep" Update
I had to make a little change in "Losing Sleep" today. James Macavoy AKA Zarpal Judicious, is no more. After looking through some films on the television, I found an actor with the name James Mcavoy. So, to avoid any copyright claims, I have changed Zarpal's given name to James McQuarry.
What do you think of Zarpal's new name? Is it better than the original? I think so myself.

New Novel!
I have started a new novel which I have called "Inquisitor". Hopefully I will be able to finish this in roughly the amount of time that it took me to write "Losing Sleep". Fingers crossed.
Oh, and by the way -- what is your view on female protagonists?

Success!
"Losing Sleep" has hit over 50,000 words officially making it my very first novel. Now all I have to do is fix it up, try to add a little more and come up with a blurb and front cover.

40K
"Losing Sleep" has officially hit over 40,000 words.
Still another 10,000 more to go. Hopefully it is going to be my very first novel. What do you all think of the name? What do you think it is going to be about? And no, I am not going to give anything away. You will just have to wait.
